We got fins to the left, fins to the right and Sharky's is the best beach bar in town! Sharky's on the Pier won the top spot this year as they received the most votes and placed first in the 2018 Best Florida Beach contest sponsored by LandShark Lager!

Sharky's was voted the Best Florida Beach Bar in 2013 and now they've reached #1 again in 2018. In between those years, they were a Top 10 Florida Beach Bar and they always throw a fantastic party! This year was no different as they set out to throw the ultimate Sunset Beach Bash!

The first thing you noticed when you arrived at the party was a huge inflatable Margaritaville Tequila bottle and beneath it were the many vendors that had booths set up providing drink samples.

A balloon artist came through the area and made some great head pieces, including a pink flamingo (our favorite balloon of the night, of course). And speaking of "pink", they were selling pink shirts to commemorate the win! Some other lucky guests got to take home some fun prizes as part of a raffle.

No event is complete without great music and this party had plenty of it! Kicking off the festivities was a group of local drummers that played right on the beach while belly dancers performed. Trinidudes played a lot of party favorites and of course some island classics like Margaritaville. The steel drum always makes for a cool beach bar vibe.

Proceeds from the event will be donated to Venice Area Beautification Inc. and Mote Marine Laboratory. Both of these great organizations were at the event to share some of the important work they are involved in.

Co-owner Justin Pachota accepted the award with his family. It was a special day for Sharky's on the Pier and we were happy to be a part of it!
