It's always a pleasure to find a real live Florida beach bar which is located right on the beach. Whale's Tail in Miramar Beach is just that beach bar. Whale's Tail is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and this makes it a great place to start your day at the beach.
The restaurant is located on the upper deck but if it is the bar and live music you are looking for, look for that on the lower deck. There is great seating around the upper deck and fantastic views of the beach and beach crowd. Oh, and the colorful beach umbrellas.
Sadly, the live music schedule is seasonal so you will probably only find live music during the summer months. Check their web site for specific times and dates.
